Prerequisite
This course is for beginners to intermediate.

Course overview

This advanced handgun course focuses on practical red dot optics skills and dynamic marksmanship under controlled conditions.

Instruction includes

• Brief orientation to handguns and red dot optics
• Firearms safety and range protocols
• Fundamentals of marksmanship with a red dot sight
• Reloads and target transitions
• Cadence of fire and speed-accuracy balance
• Culminating practical exercise integrating all skills

What to bring

• Reliable handgun in good working order
• Extra magazine or magazines
• Minimum 100 rounds of handgun ammunition. Ammunition may be purchased at the range if needed.
• Hearing protection and eye protection
• Sturdy belt suitable for holster and magazine pouch
• Concealed carry or duty-style holster that secures the firearm reliably
• Magazine pouch or carrier
• Lunch, water, hat, and weather appropriate clothing
Please do not wear leggings, shorts, or open toe shoes.

Important arrival note for first-time attendees

When following GPS to the training address you will transition onto a dirt road and you may lose cell signal. Continue driving slowly for 5 to 10 minutes until you reach the parking and office area. If you lose signal, proceed to the parking area and check in at the office when possible.
